Arborjet Sponsors Birds of Prey Event in Vail Valley, CO
Going into this New Year we are looking forward to participating in even more events with the green industry to preserve and enhance our natural and urban landscapes, as well as continuing to support tree health in our communities.
Closing out 2018…
In November, Beaver Creek and the Vail Valley foundation hosted the Xfinity Birds of Prey Audi FIS Ski World Cup event. The event was a tremendous success with three days of racing, shopping eating and celebrating the start of the ski season. Racers from around the world compete Super G format, as well as Downhill and Giant Slalom. Local foods, beer, whiskey and gear are sampled and sold. Free music and restaurant specials are also crowd favorites. It’s an incredibly fun event for a great cause. Arborjet and Ecologel are proud sponsors of this event. The Vail Valley Foundation did a great job and the weather certainly cooperated dropping fresh powder daily. The snow topped Rockies provided the perfect back drop all weekend long.
For the cause….
For nearly 3 decades, the Vail Valley Foundation has been a symbol of volunteerism and community engagement. “I love what this group does,” says Russ Davis president of Arborjet and CEO of Ecologel. The Vail Valley Foundation staff and partner organizations work with a tremendous amount of volunteerism to put forth high-quality events such as Xfinity Birds of Prey. These events attract thousands of people, and deliver revenue, that’s put back into the community’s education, athletic, and art programs. Russ and Sales Director Mark Andrews attended this year‘s events to see firsthand how these pieces all work together. “Sponsoring events like this and our own Taking Roots scholarship program allow us to make a direct impact on people’s lives,” says Davis. “We will certainly be back next year and we hope to see you there.”
