Salesforce Administrator/Data Analyst

Job Overview

Arborjet, a leader in the development, manufacture, and distribution of revolutionary plant health care solutions is searching for a motivated, team-oriented individual to join our fast-paced marketing department. The Salesforce Administrator/Data Analyst will support the sales and marketing teams through the collection and analysis of data while managing the Salesforce database.

This is a full-time position working in our Woburn MA corporate office.

Core Responsibilities

  • Managing, maintaining, and developing the organization’s data platform as the Salesforce Administrator
  • Consulting with internal teams and external clients to determine their ongoing business needs and solutions
  • Create and implement improved systems and processes related to conversions, revenue, ROI (or other relevant metrics).

Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Salesforce Administration experience or certificates
  • Google Adwords and Analytics experience or certificates preferred
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, machine learning, or marketing analytics

Duties

  • Support the organization’s use of Salesforce by performing systems administrations, staff training, and maintaining the sales database.
  • Support creation, maintenance, and review of reports, dashboards, and Quickbooks sync to help sales team evaluate and understand sales and territory data
  • Support marketing team in optimizing advertising and social media budgets to maximize ROI & track leads
  • Manage Google AdWords and Google Analytics
  • Utilize keyword research and analysis for Search Engine Optimization to support websites, blog, and ap content
  • Review email, social (including YouTube and Blogs), websites, and Mobile App analytics to suggest improvements

Regional Sales Manager Northeast

Job Overview

Arborjet inc. and its partner, Ecologel LLC., offer exceptional fertilizers, soil amendments, soil moisture management, pest control and growth regulator products, to the golf, turf, horticulture and tree and ornamental markets. We are seeking a technical sales specialist that will be geographically located in the Northeast.  The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for maximizing profitable sales, market share, and brand strength by developing assigned territories and/or channels to meet company objectives. Primary channels include golf, sports turf and commercial turf, nursery and greenhouse.  We have additional Sales managers in this region that support Tree and landscape.   The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background in the areas above. Time as a golf superintendent, or assistant superintendent, is a plus. This person will plan and coordinate with customers, and the company, to develop and execute effective sales strategies. They will be expected to foster strong, sustainable relationships with distributors, dealers and end-use customers.  They will build up and protect the brand by ensuring customer satisfaction and become an expert on brand products and competitors, communicating market information, territory performance, and trends as requested by management.

We seek team players with agronomic, horticulture, pest control or other similar sales experience in golf, sports turf, greenhouse, landscaping or related green industries. The ability to present technical information to large and small groups is essential. A  BS/BA degree in a related field is heavily desired but significantly related sales experience with demonstrated success will be considered. The ideal candidate is an energetic self-starter who is able to demonstrate a track record of success with technical sales.

These positions require flexibility, varying hours, and will include overnight travel as business demand dictates. The position will be located in the Northeast and be responsible for several states including Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey and New England. Overnight travel within this region will be required. We are seeking only candidates familiar with and located in the markets described.

The managers primary role drives sales in the residential and commercial tree and landscape markets. We have additional Sales managers in this region that support sports turf and commercial turf, nursery and greenhouse. Some of these products are sold into the landscape market as well.   The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background in the areas above. Time as an applicator, crew manager or PHC sales manager is a plus. This person will plan and coordinate with customers, and the company, to develop and execute effective sales strategies. They will be expected to foster strong, sustainable relationships with distributors, dealers and end-use customers.  They will build up and protect the brand by ensuring customer satisfaction and become an expert on brand products and competitors, communicating market information, territory performance, and trends as requested by management.

Lab Assistant/Lab Technician

Job Overview

Arborjet R&D department is looking for a Lab Assistant/Lab Technician. As a leader in tree injection, organic pest control, tree and turf fertilization, and water management, Arborjet is committed to providing sound, environmentally responsible solutions for the landscape and tree and turf management. Our R&D department develops the formulations used for insect pest & disease management on a broad range of plant host species including trees, shrubs, vines and turf grasses. As part of the development process, we test new products for their effectiveness in our own indoor greenhouses, outdoor nurseries and at third party collaborator sites around the country.

Job Description:

We are looking for a full-time Lab Assistant/Lab Technician to help in all aspects of research laboratory practices. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in basic lab practices including: lab safety procedures, chemical handling, proper cleaning procedures, and a familiarity with lab equipment. The candidate must have strong observational and note-taking skills, as well as the ability to troubleshoot problems. The candidate must possess the ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision. Experience in a chemistry lab is a plus.

Role and Responsibilities:

· Reports directly to Research Scientist but also works closely with Director of R&D

· Helps to set up trials and collect data, as directed, in the lab, greenhouse or outdoor nursery

· Takes detailed notes on trials, processes, and practices performed

· At direction of formulator, assists in small batch formulation work and preliminary testing including: checking for compatibility, checking for miscibility/suspension in water, checking and tweaking pH, and other small formulation tweaks

· Manufactures nuisance batches of select formulations

· Communicates potential problems with plants or equipment to other team members

· Lab tasks such as cleaning glassware, cleaning and maintaining chemical storage areas, the lab, and lab equipment

· Ability to carry 40 pounds

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry or other related disciplines

· Understand basic laboratory techniques and procedures

· Ability to organize data, maintaining notebooks and implement experimental protocols.

· Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

· Ability to work independently and to communicate with all levels of the R&D staff

Research Formulation Chemist

Job Description:

We are looking for a full-time Research Scientist-Formulation Chemistry to help in all aspects of R&D, especially new formulation development. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in chemistry, preferably with experience creating and troubleshooting formulations. The candidate will be involved across the development stages of new products including: product and process development, stability studies, project management, and scale-up activities. The job may also entail working on product improvements in existing Arborjet products. The candidate must have strong observational and note-taking skills. Experience with pesticides is a plus.

Role and Responsibilities:

· Coordinates scientific studies to drive the development of new product candidates in house and in the field

· Perform pre-formulation, formulation development, phytotoxicity, efficacy and stability studies

· Takes detailed notes on trials, processes, and practices performed

· Functions as acting lab manager including scheduling calibrations, ordering equipment/supplies as needed and maintaining a clean lab environment

· Creates SOPs for novel processes and experiments

· Troubleshoots problems with existing Arborjet products and potentially reformulates with new components

· Participates in the identification and evaluation of new technologies and product opportunities

· Participates in monthly product development meetings with cross functional team members including: marketing, operations, and sales

Qualifications:

· Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related discipline and five years’ experience in a chemistry lab

· A basic understanding of various formulation types, such as micro-emulsions, suspension concentrates, etc. is a plus

· Knowledge of plant biology preferred but not necessary

· Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office

· Ability to work independently and to communicate with all levels of seniority (including CEO)
