Day 3 on the 2015 STIHL Tour des Trees with Jeff Palmer
Enjoy today’s update from Jeff Palmer, Arborjet’s Upper Midwest Regional Technical Manager and rider on this year’s Tour des Trees.
Stormy Weather
The weather turned a bit sour on day three of the Tour des Trees. Riders rolled out from Lido Beach under overcast skies and sprinkles. By lunch, the light drizzle had turned into a steady rain, which left all of the riders fairly well soaked.
Tree City USA & the End of the Day
Fortunately, our morning break was dry, so I was able to take a photo of the wonderful Monty Andrews Arboretum in Venice, a Tree City USA 6 years running.
From that point, the route found us island hopping along the gulf coast all the way to Punta Gorda. This evening, I have a nice view of the harbor as I dry out my clothes!
The weather looks a bit better for Wednesday’s ride to Ft. Myers Beach.
