NutriRoot Granular and Liquid: Effects on Tree Sapling Establishment
Study Overview
The study was initiated to determine whether NutriRoot Granular enhances sapling establishment and growth when applied during transplanting. The product was compared to NutriRoot Liquid and untreated controls.
A 30-day evaluation across three tree species assessed the impact of NutriRoot on early plant growth. Plants were grown in a compost, peat moss, and vermiculite medium. Growth was measured by height increase compared to untreated controls.

Results
Treated plants showed significantly improved growth compared to untreated controls
- Black Cherry: Approximately 80% more growth with both NutriRoot Granular and Liquid compared to untreated plants.
- Blue Spruce: 60% growth increase using the Liquid formulation and 40% with the Granular.
- Bur Oak: Modest growth increases with both treatments, while untreated plants showed no new growth.
Conclusion
Applying NutriRoot Granular at the time of transplanting enhances sapling establishment and growth. Performance was comparable to NutriRoot Liquid, with both treatments significantly increasing new shoot growth over untreated plants.
These results support the use of NutriRoot Granular as an effective option for improving transplant success and early plant development.
