Arborjet | Ecologel Announces 2025 Recipient of Taking Root Scholarship
Arborjet | Ecologel is pleased to announce the 2025 recipient of the Taking Root Scholarship: Maria Rumfola, Cornell University.
Ms. Rumfola is a Landscape Architecture student with a passion for applying plant science in community-focused green spaces. From hands-on plant selection projects to revitalization efforts across New York state, her passion and vision will be great assets to our industry.
The Taking Root Scholarship is offered in partnership with the National Horticulture Foundation as an avenue to build the next generation of skilled professionals in arboriculture and plant health care. The program aligns with Arborjet | Ecologel’s mission of promoting environmental stewardship and sustainable tree care practices while supporting the continued growth of the arboriculture industry.
The 2026 – 2027 application is now open, and we invite students to explore this opportunity to apply and become a part of this a growing industry. High school seniors and college students planning to pursue careers in arboriculture, plant health care, landscape architecture, urban forestry, entomology, plant pathology, horticulture and other related fields are encouraged to apply here.
