This week Propizol® was launched in California. Leah Hancock, Arborjet’s Product Marketing Manager, spoke about the excitement surrounding the release of this effective and unique product.
Trunk Injections with Propizol
She said, “We are really excited that Propizol is now registered in California. It is a 14.3% Propiconazole fungicide that can be trunk injected or spray-applied. It’s labeled specifically for Oak Wilt, leaf disease in crabapples, sycamore anthracnose and Dutch Elm Disease. In addition, we support a FIFRA Section 2 (ee) recommendation for a number of additional diseases.”
Fighting Polyphagous Shot Hole Borer
“Polyphagous Shot Hole Borer (PSHB) is a beetle that is affecting Southern California. Using Propizol in combination with TREE-äge® Insecticide to combat the particular fungus associated with PSHB really gives us the one-two punch when fighting diseases including the wilt that is vectored by PSHB,” Leah continued.
Flexible and Effective
“Propizol is the newest trunk injectable Propiconazole registered in California. It can also be used as a spray application for turf grasses, flowers and shrubs in all growing zones. The main use that we see in California is trunk injection, but the flexible application options are a huge plus.”
