Join Us for Arbor Day 2018!
It’s almost Arbor Day, and we’re ready to celebrate! Are you?
National Arbor Day falls on Friday, April 27th, 2018. Historically, Arbor Day is a holiday that encourages individuals to plant a tree to help sustain our environment. Did you know a study of 10 cities found community forests save an average of one life each year? (In New York City, trees save an average of eight lives every year!)
This year, we’ll be participating in a number of events across the country to celebrate our beloved trees. During the week of Arbor Day, we’ll be educating communities on how to best plant trees, donating treatments to iconic trees, hosting creative planting workshops, and more.

Tree Planting in Santee Lakes Park
Arborjet will be taking part in Green Day at the Lakes in San Diego! Christy Richter will be assisting other volunteers with the proper tree planting method – so join us at the Santee Lakes Park from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM, no matter your tree planting experience!

Belle Isle Park Spring Cleanup in Detroit, MI
Arborjet’s Joe Aiken and the rest of the Arboriculture Society of Michigan Foundation will be cleaning up Belle Isle Park at 8:00 AM. Meet us at the Belle Isle Park Athletic Complex to join! Pinchot Sycamore in Simsbury, CT
Arborjet will be donating treatments to the largest tree in Connecticut! The beloved Pinchot Sycamore is estimated to be at least 200 years old, and we hope to ensure that it remains healthy for years to come!

Ornamental Workshop at Botanical Garden in St. Louis, MO
Arborjet’s South Central RTM, Emmett Muennink will be giving an expert presentation on the topic of Emerald Ash Borer during Ornamental Workshop at the Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis. Celebrate Arbor Day with us at this industry event, hosted by Syngenta.

“Create & Learn” Workshop at Create & Escape in Peabody, MA
Join Arborjet at Create & Escape to make your own personalized rustic flower box, while we partner with Northeast Nursery to conduct a hands on demonstration, sharing best practices in planting! 15% of the proceeds will be donated to Essex Agricultural and Technical High School in Danvers, MA. Waterfront Sycamore treatments in Newburyport, MA
