The 2015 STIHL Tour des Trees Wrap-up

tourdestrees_blogJeff Palmer, Arborjet’s Upper Midwest Regional Technical Manager and Robert Gorden, Arborjet’s Director of Urban Forestry & Business Development were both riders in the week-long, 500-mile cycling event to benefit the TREE Fund. This year over $600,000 has been raised!

The Final Days on the Road

On day 6 the riders cycled 86 miles from Everglades City to Miami under ideal weather conditions. Thankfully, the 7th and final day of the tour was the shortest by far, with our riders traveling only 30 miles from Miami to Ft. Lauderdale.

Along the Ride

As with each tour, everyone enjoyed tree plantings, community engagements and Professor Elwood Pricklethorn providing educational programs for young audiences along the way. Along the way our riders raised awareness about the importance of trees to the quality of urban life and the value of science-based professional tree care.

There is Still Time to Donate!

Since 1992, the Tour des Trees has generated more than seven million dollars and has funded a variety of research projects and educational programs for budding tree care professionals. You can donate directly by mailing a check, payable to TREE Fund at 552 S. Washington St., Ste. 109, Naperville, IL 60540.
Thank you for following us on the tour this year. Together we can make a difference.
